6th-8th Grade: Middle School Youth Ministry

Grades 6th-8th are always formative years for students. We see this time as an opportunity to grow in the faith and confess the faith to the world around us. 

Confirmation

The goal of Confirmation is to give our youth the opportunity to confess the faith that they had received when they were baptized as infants.
The Confirmation program begins in the 6th grade. While the program is typically completed over three years, students may complete the program at their pace. 
Some of the Confirmation requirements are:

• Classes with Pastor Adam and Deaconess Dehlia
• Memorization of Bible verses and the Small Catechism
• Preparing to receive the Lord's Supper
• Completion of Sermon Notes (pdf here)
• A final project and interview

Sunday Morning Bible Study - 9:30 a.m.

Jr. High Youth meet weekly on Sunday morning for bible study. Through a variety of methods and media, Jr. High students are engaged with the ongoing discussion of how God's Word connects to their daily lives.
Our elders along with Deaconess Dehlia lead this class.

Jr. High Youth Activities

Throughout the year, the Jr. High Youth get together for various events including:

• Lock-ins
• Angel Tree shopping and gift wrapping for needy families
• Retreats
• Servant Events
• And More
